Evergreen Church of Christ

We believe:

In one God who is the creator and the sustenance of all things seen & unseen. God has revealed himself to us. In creation ( Gen 1:14, Ps 19: 1-6, Job 38:31-33, Rom 1:20-21,  ) and God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways. In theses last days He has spoken to us through His Son Jesus Christ, which is revealed in the Bible ( Heb 1:1-2 ).


We believe:

That Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus Christ has all authority, & the head of the church. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. ( Matthew 28:17-19, Colossians 1:17-20 )


 We believe:

That the Holy Spirit serves a variety of functions to mankind. His primary ministry to unbelievers is to convict them of sin and convince them of the truth of the gospel of Christ. His ministry to the believer is manifold. He empowers believers (Acts 1:8), He sanctifies them (II Thes. 2:13; I Pet. 1:2),  He provides assurance and security of salvation (assurance – I John.3:24, security – Eph. 1:13-14, and He intercedes in prayer for them according to the will of God (Rom. 8:27). He also dwells in them (I Cor. 3:16) and fills them (Acts 4:31; Eph. 5:18). There are also many other functions that the Spirit serves and provides for the believer. All believers are instructed to be filled with the Holy Spirit, guided and controlled by Him in all actions and involvements of their lives (Eph. 5:18).

We believe:
The Bible  The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, being given by divine inspiration, are the word of God, the only  rule of faith and practice. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; Isaiah 8:20)


We believe:
The church is not building, but a group of people who have been united with Christ through faith, and clothed with Christ in baptism. A People called by God, sealed by the Spirit, whose mission is To offer Hope to the Hopeless, to restore faith to the faithless. To share the Gospel with others & Love others as Christ did.
